Rata, Wellington's new 'cafe with a view' is open to the public 10am-5pm daily and is located on Level 2 of ZEALANDIA's Visitor Centre.
Rata offers a variety of quality counter food and menu options as well as a selection of boutique wines and beer, and picnic items. The perfect location to unwind or recharge the batteries after your ZEALANDIA visit. Quality highchairs and a special kids' menu are available . The views aross the lower lake must make this one of the best spots in the city to enjoy a leisurely lunch!
Being environmentally-sustainable and socially responsible is a no brainer for us. So we only use free range pork, chicken and eggs. Our fruit and veggies are seasonal and locally-sourced wherever possible. Our milk is organic and all our coffee is organic and fair trade. All our packaging is biodegradable and even our cleaning products are friendly to the environment
