About the cafe

The River Kitchen has been operating since 2007 and has consistently won awards during this time including, 'Best Cafe NZ 2010' by Cafe Magazine.

Our focus has always been to provide fresh, contemporary food which naturally leads to using quality seasonal ingredients that are free-range or organic where possible.

We always endeavor to improve our products and services, whether through staff training, developing new seasonal recipes, or changing suppliers to better suit our needs. This includes switching to organic milk in 2008, using free-range pork, chicken and eggs, and working with suppliers to get the best possible products we can.
